Name of the Software | PorePy |
Short Description | PorePy targets simulations in deformable and fractured porous media. The software is written in Python, and emphasizes easy prototyping of numerical methods and approaches to multi-physics couplings. The main focus is processes in fractured media, which are represented as a mixed-dimensional discrete fracture matrix model. The code offers conformal meshing of fractures in 2D and 3D, as well as several flow and transport discretizations for mixed-dimensional problems. Other processes covered are elastic deformation of rocks, and hydraulic shearing of existing fractures. The software is developed at the Department of Mathematics, University of Bergen. |
